These terms describe the use of the SVG Sprite Generator by Ingo Zöll. You can find the contact details in the Legal Notice.
1. Purpose and use
The generator combines SVG, AVIF, WebP, GIF, JPG and PNG files into an SVG sprite and creates a corresponding CSS file and embedding examples. Importing and previewing take place in your browser. When you download, the selected image contents, dimensions and layer identifiers are sent to our server, which creates the sprite and ZIP package. The application holds the images and package in memory only while processing this request and does not store them permanently.
2. Free use
All generator features and downloads are free, without an account or payment. Technical limits are described below.
3. Personal and commercial projects
You may use the generator and the sprites created with it for both personal and commercial purposes. This includes, for example, your own websites, client projects and business applications.
This permission does not cover third-party image rights, trademark rights or personality rights. You must hold the necessary rights to all files you use and comply with their respective licence terms. Processing files in the generator does not change these rights or terms.
4. Your files
Use only files you are entitled to process and publish. Working images remain in the open page only; download your result before reloading or closing it. No project storage is provided.
Image metadata may remain in the exported files. Lossless optimization can remove some metadata, depending on the file format. Check which information you want to share before publishing your result.
5. Results and technical limitations
Total uploads are limited to 5 MB. The finished sprite can be larger. Technical processing and safety limits remain in effect.
Check the finished sprite, its integration and its appearance in your target browsers. The compatibility information shown does not replace testing your specific result. In particular, playback of animated GIFs within an SVG embedded as an image may depend on the browser.
The website may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable. No specific level of availability or suitability for every purpose is promised. Statutory liability provisions apply; these notes do not limit your statutory rights.
6. Voluntary support
The generator is free to use. Voluntary contributions through PayPal support its development, are not required for use and do not unlock additional features.
7. Accounts and projects
There are no user accounts or saved projects. Download your result before leaving or reloading the page.
8. Statutory rights and contact
Applicable statutory rights and liability provisions remain unaffected. The information about technical limits and temporary interruptions does not exclude those rights.
